    Control panel, system, advance systems settings then visual effects then uncheck show shadows under windows.

    Hot Corners definitely unavailable for desktop users; Charms invoked only with *Start + C.

    I cannot pull up the charms using the mouse, but I can bring it up using gestures on the touchpad and by swiping in from the right side of the screen, on my touchscreen systems.

    Check Taskbar properties - navigation
    - when I point to the upper right hand comer, show the charms

    - when I click the upper left corner, switch between my recent apps

    Sadly, the start menu remains unusable in it's current form, and seems to exist solely to herd people to their "store" to buy their crappy tifkam apps.

    Fortunately, Classic Shell still fixes the problem.

    Ehh, I removed all the live tiles, uninstalled all apps that I could, and replaced shit like "PC Settings" with the control panel. It's bascically the same as Win7 Start Menu now.

    That said, Classic Shell is awesome.

    Advanced users can use set acl or something similar to remove Store app shortcuts from the Start Menu.

    I think it is too early to upgrade a running 7 or 8.1 system with 10. That is taking a big risk. There are still a good number of bugs in the 9841 build and using it on a daily basis may lead to frustration.

    I installed mine in VMware Player. That is a good environment to make the first steps and test it out.

    I had a spare laptop so had the option to set 10 up as a "main machine" (without it actually being my main machine) but not come across an issue yet.
