Windows 10: Windows 10 Flashing Destop

After the last update from Microsoft Windows 10, my laptop started to reboot and finally went into a flashing desktop.

After looking into the issue and looking at the processes and services I discovered that there was a process restarting constantly.

The two services are wermgr.exe and werfault.exe. As the system became more and more unstable, it got very difficult to get to the services and disable them. Rolling aback to a previous restore points did not help the condition which just drove me nuts. However, since I don't have time to be dealing with Windows 8ull5h3t, I just went to the registry and change my shell and dropped to PoweShell. Issue resolved for now.


after doing some digging, the issue is Explorer calling for this reporting tool. Which makes me wonder, how many F#ck!n9 reporting tools are needed in one operating systems??? Every time I get an update more reporting tools are added to the OS, making it incredibly slow. Cheese, I am about to drop Windows 10 crappy OS and move back to either Windows 7 or move out all together back to Linux/FreeBSD.


Still I am perplex about this issue just recentlyhappening right after this update. This issue is an old issue as reported on thisWindows 10 - Issue with "blinking" screen and Windows button not working. Yet, it just finally hit my system. We are talking an about an issue that happened 5 years ago. C'mon, we are talking about a bug that was introduced 5 year ago and now, it get reintroduced once again.


Are there any plans to fix this issue?

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
