Discus and support Windows 10 Folder Redirection in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; All, I have a client that previously had Folder Redirection turned on with Group Policy (without the setting to return files to Local once removed)....     I have a client that previously had Folder Redirection turned on with Group Policy (without the setting to return files to Local once removed). The server they were redirected to no longer exists. When I look at the PCs I can see that Documents and Desktop settings for the Location still point to the non-existent server share. Basically all of their Desktop and Documents are being kept in the Offline Files Cache. I have created a new share on a new server for Folder Redirection. When I applied this to the effected Users, nothing changed. How do I get the Win 10 PCs to dump the old Server\Share location setting and return the Offline Files Cache to the Local Profile? I'm fine with even doing one at a time through the Registry if need be.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    C windows installer folder - Delete?

    He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink Windows 10 Folder Redirection ;)
    Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

    Like:
    First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
    Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
    Then type this in command mode as admin
    mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

    Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

    I have connected a Windows 10 installation to Windows Server 2012 R2 with the essentials role installed, folder redirection is not working, how do I solve this problem, Win 7 Machines folder redirection working as expected, any assistance would be helpful,
