Windows 10 forcefully disconnects my bluetooth audio device when playing a game.

The issue is as mentioned in the title. I have no problems with bluetooth audio playback on headsets or soundbars while browsing or working, yet when I open a game, the device disconnects completely within a few seconds. This is not limited to any single bluetooth audio device, they all act as such. As soon as the game is closed, the device reconnects.I have tried the following recommended fixes:-Completely updating bluetooth, device and windows drivers-Set the communications panel option to "do nothing"-Disabled the device microphone and the computer microphone-Set the recording panel optio

Bluetooth speaker (HK Go Play) disconnects from audio playback devices after changing volume/playing sound

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Since you have tried all basic troubleshooting steps including uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, I suspect the issue is with audio driver, therefore I would suggest to try updating or reinstalling the audio drivers and let us know how it goes.

    Update drivers in Windows 10

If updating drivers doesn’t work, uninstall the audio driver completely, download the latest driver from the system manufacturer’s support site and install it manually. To uninstall the audio driver, kindly the steps given below.

    • Right click on Start (Windows logo) and select
      Device Manager.
    • In Device Manager, expand Sound, video and game controllers.
    • Right click on the audio device and select Uninstall device.
    • Check the checkbox which says Delete the driver software for this device and click
      Ok.
    • Expand Audio inputs and outputs and remove the speaker entries by right clicking on the device and selecting
      Uninstall device.
    • Reboot the computer and reinstall the latest device driver from the system manufacturer’s support site.

If the above methods do not work, you may want to check if there are any ghost drivers for the Bluetooth device and remove them completely.

    • Disconnect and remove the Bluetooth speaker from Settings. Go to Start->Settings->Devices-> Bluetooth & other devices. Under
Audio category, select the device and click on Remove button.
    • Right click on Start (Windows logo) and select
      Device Manager.
    • In Device Manager, click on the View menu at the top right corner and select
      Show hidden devices.
    • Now expand Bluetooth node and remove all entries of the Bluetooth speaker (Right click and select
      Uninstall device).
    • Expand Audio inputs and outputs and remove the speaker entries by right clicking on the device and selecting
      Uninstall device.
    • Reboot the computer and re-pair the Bluetooth speaker.
    • Go to Settings->Devices- >Bluetooth & other devices->Add Bluetooth or other device
      >Bluetooth.
    • Select the Bluetooth device and check the results once the device is paired with your computer.

Feel free to write back to us, if you have any questions or need any further assistance with this issue.

      Regards,

Option to play audio from Bluetooth device is missing from Settings

I want to stream audio via Bluetooth from my Android phone to my laptop running Windows 10 version 1703, but the option to play audio from phone via Bluetooth is not showing up on Settings>Bluetooth and Other Devices. Obviously, I have already paired my Android device with my laptop, and my device is visible on Other Devices, and listed as "Paired". I have also already checked my device properties on Devices and Printers, and on Service tab, "Advanced Audio" (A2DP profile) box is checked. Both my laptop and Android phone have Bluetooth 4.0 support, with my laptop also supporting HS extension, and my phone, LE (Low Energy).

I have no clue why Bluetooth audio playback isn't showing. How would I make Windows play audio via Bluetooth from my device? Thanks in advance.

  4. Windows 10 forcefully disconnects my bluetooth audio device when playing a game.

No audio through connected Bluetooth device

I am having problems playing audio from my Windows PC through my Bose Bose AE2 Bluetooth headphones.

    1) I have previously connected to these headphones without any issues. The audio was fine

    2) at some point, the audio started experiencing distortions and disconnects

    3) I can now no longer play any audio through the headphones from the PC

In the Bluetooth and other device settings menu, my headphones are connected. I have also tried un-pairing and re-pairing the device several times. The device manager recognizes the headphones in the bluetooth dropdown menut. In the Sound settings on Windows, my headphones are listed as a playback device, but are listed as disconnected and cannot be connected from that menu. Note: this is different from the bluetooth and other devices menu, which says that I AM connected.

My windows drivers are up to date, I have updated my headphones to the latest drivers as well. My headphones connect without issue to other devices (laptop and cell phone both). I feel as though I have taken all the basic troubleshooting steps and am not getting anywhere.
