    Windows 10 Freeze


    Hi guys!


    My specs:

    • Windows 10 Pro
    • Version 1709
    • System build 16299.547
    • CPU: AMD FX-8350
    • GPU: AMD R9 380
    • no third-party anti-virus

    My PC sometimes freezes a few minutes after startup, I can only hit the "reset" button to get out.

    That can happen while using the explorer, surfing the web or gaming.

    When I tried updating Windows a few times in the last days, my PC always crashes before finishing the update, so I guess the problem is located somewhere in this category.


    What I tried:

    • Windows update troubleshooting program
    • updating drivers
    • doing things while the update is running, where no freezes previously occurred


    Please help! Windows 10 Freeze :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
