Windows 10: Windows 10 freezes, audio works, can move mouse, have to close lid and reopen it for it to...

Hello

My PC has been freezing randomly it's new. I'd be doing any activity and it'd suddenly freeze, most times I can move the mouse, sometimes it becomes a spinning circle, and sometimes i can't move it at all. When there's music playing I can still control the volume and play or stop with the mousepad, but I can't do anything else.

I've suspected a problem with my video card or drivers, so I updated all of them, ran DISM and sfcscan, rand chkdsk, ran a memory test, but no problems whatsoever. NVIDIA drivers are up to date, no malware, everything is well.

When the computer freezes, all i have to do is close the lid, wait for the fans to stop working, reopen the lid and log in and pursue my work.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

HDMI Audio disables itself when lid is closed

HDMI Audio for some reason decides to disable itself when the lid is closed. i have it connected to my TV with an HDMI cable. when the lid is OPEN, audio is routed to the TV as its supposed to be. but when i close the lid, it forces the audio to switch back
to the internal speakers, with NO WAY AT ALL to switch back without reopening the lid. is there a setting for this? it is incredibly annoying, and i have changed numerous settings related to closing the lid and it makes no difference.

Windows 10 close lid does not work

Hi,

I have window 10 installed on a dell latitude e5570. A few days ago I performed windows updates and since then hibernation/sleep do not work. When I close the lid and later reopen it is like a shutdown and restart. I tried changing the close-lid-settings
but it did not matter.

Any idea?

WHENEVER I CLOSE THE LID AND REOPEN IT THE DISPLAY DOESN'T COMEBACK ON

I set the "close the lid" option to "do nothing"

and whenever i close the lid even for few seconds and reopen it .. i can see the backlight in my screen .. but it doesn't display a thing unless I restart my computer.
