Windows 10: windows 10 freezing/stuttering every couple minutes

started to happen recently after latest update,when it happens the sound continues in the background but the video or app freezes. i've monitored the resource usage when it happens. none of them are near to 100% but when it freezes the GPU usage drops then resets. its seems to happen randomly at any moment using or not using the pc, when not under load it slows down but you can still see the mouse moving with a lot of lag.

ive tried rolling back but it still persist.

• heat is normal
• all drivers are up to date
• antivirusmalwarebytes detects nothing
• disk usage normally under 10%,checked both my ssdcontains windows and HDD seems to run normally both of them are not full
• ran chkdsk
• ran sfc /scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

i ran in safe mode and it doesnt stutter so it may be a driver problem or a third party app but its rather unikely since i havent installed anything

i really cant afford to reset my pc since i have 2tb worth of information and a really slow internet so imagine how long would it take to redownload everything.

other things that may be useful ran a detailed monitoring and when it freezes the gpu drops to 0% then returns to normal, my laptops barely 1 year old.

i dont know if its necessary but here are the base specs:

CPU Intel I5 8300H

GPU Intel UHD 630 & GTX 1050 4GB

HDD Seagate Barracuda ST4000LM024 4TB

SSD ADATA SU800NS38 128GB windows in here

RAM Patrio Viper 4 Series DDR4 16GB 2800Mhz

FPS drops below 10 every couple of minutes

Very interesting. Our default suggestion list for fighting stutter becomes more interesting.

 

Win 10 CU (not FCU) stutters and freezes a lot with various operations

I get momentary freezes and stuttering with a range of Windows menu operations. *sarc These are the ones that are top of mind but I'm sure there are others. Win 10 Pro 64, up to date on patches.

• Xing out a FireFox tab
• Click on FILE menu (drop down is delayed)
• FILE > Print (printer list or print menu is delayed)
• Selecting a higher level on the file path in the SAVE menu
• Search menu at bottom of Windows
• Typing in many situations.

Any suggestions? Or this this a known problem in Win 10? I've had this problem for some time, but lately it has gotten me really PO'ed.*Confused

 

Mouse stutters on start up, but works normal after a few minutes

I've recently got a new computer, and I've noticed when I turn it out, the mouse stutters at first. For the first few minutes, I can move the mouse for a second, then it freezes for a few seconds, then it moves for a second again, etc...

I've currently not got another mouse to try with, but I wondered if any body had any suggestions I could try whilst I try and source another mouse to test with.

I'm running the following

1. Win 10 Pro
   
2. i7-4790K (Not overclocked)
   
3. 16gb ram (this was salvaged from my old computer, so it's a few years old)
   
4. Nvidia 980 ti
   
5. Mouse is a Razor Oubourous.
