Windows 10: Windows 10 freezing when playing videos

Few weeks ago I noticed that my laptop completely freezes when playing videos. This first happened with playing YouTube videos (no matter which quality), and then I realized that Win.10 freezes when I'm playing downloaded videos as well as videos on other internet pages. I tried updating Windows. I tried updating all the drivers. I tried updating Google Chrome. I tried everything, but the problem still exists. I'm using ASUS X541NA, cpu Intel Pentium N4200 / 1.1 GHz, and Intel HD graphics 4000. SFC scan doesn't show anything either. Is there a way this problem can be fixed? Everything used to be okay 'til few weeks ago when this problem appeared.

Embedded videos freezing


Recently I installed Windows 10, upgrading from 8.1. Now videos embedded in emails freeze after playing for a few seconds. Mainly it's the ads that often precede and accompany shared videos that are freezing, but when this happens, I can't get beyond them to see the shared vid. This occurs with all browsers that I have tried, e.g., MSN, Google, IE. Suggestions?

 

Videos not playing

Hi,

I am also having an issue with my videos not playing on any browser for windows 10. So I followed the steps that you listed for the video option but there is
no folder called Display Drivers. There are folders called display adapters and disk drivers however. Maybe I should uninstall one of those?
