    Windows 10 - Freezing


    Last Week, i updated my PC hardware. I switched from an Intel 8700k to a Ryzen 5800x and a Aorus X570 Ultra. I also installed new Memory and new SSD and a new Windows 10.

    Since then my system freezes at least once per day. It does not crash but it becomes unresponsive and i have to press the reset button to turn it off. The next restart takes a long time and I´m stuck on a loading page after the Aorus symbol disappears for about a minute.

    These freezes only occur, when there is no real load on the PC, mostly when I´m watching Youtubevideos or starting a download in my browser. There are no freezes, when I´m gaming, or running benchmarks, even for a long time. The freezes do not occur regular, but sometimes after a few minutes of opening a browser, sometimes there is no freezing, even after a few hours.

    I already tried a new windows install, updated all drivers, BIOS and windows, tried different RAM-modules and ran Memtest

    AMD Ryzen 5800x

    Aorus x570 Ultra

    Aorus 2080ti xtreme

    32 GB Crucial Ballistix 3600mHz

    NZXT Kraken x62


    Does anyone know, what is going on or has a simmilar problem?

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .
