Windows 10 frying in games, I need help!

    Hello,
I'm an annoying problem here, I did a clean install of Windows 10, everything is working well, actually almost everything.

The problem is with the laptop temperature is rising too, especially during the games.
When I play in any game the temperatures rise too, come to 98 CPU temperature varies around 92/96 degrees and VGA 88/90 degrees
Before the win 8.1 temperatures did not exceed 80 °

I used Windows itself to try to lower the temperature.
In Power Options, changed to balanced, Advanced options limited the processor clock to 2.4MHZ, but to no avail.
Can someone please help me lower temperatures?
    Thank you.

    My laptop is a W355SSQ Clevo - intel i7 2.8 / 3.2mhz - nvidia gforce 860M - 8GB Memory - Samsung SSD Evo

    :)

  2. How to play games but avoid frying the graphics card?

I have just got my new Acer windows 10 laptop yesterday. Today I installed two of my old games on it and they worked fine. I have been playing them. But I need some tips. On my desktop computer I fried the graphics card a few years ago from playing too
many games. It was replaced and works alright. I was just wondering how can I play all my games on my new laptop without frying the graphics card. the laptop was $500. So could someone please let me know as soon as possible. Thank you. From .

    screen saver

I unplugged my Razer Nostromo gaming keypad and the screen saver started working. It has a black background but it's better than frying my screen.

Windows 10 frying in games, I need help!

From personal experience, when my laptop had overheating problems it was a couple of things. First, make sure the fans and air vents are clear of blockages (don't cover when in use), check for dust balls clogging interior airways. Second on an older computer, at idle it wouldn't go below 60C. I removed the heat sink/processor fan and found the thermal compound totally dried out. Did a good cleaning and replaced with new thermal compound. After service, the idle temperatures were 35C to 40C.

    Thanks for the tips.
I checked and everything is ok.
This started happening after I installed win10.

I think there's something making windows more heat.

One other thing to consider that may be related to what is after all a new Operating system - a new operating system has to organise it's own internal processes (databases for search etc), and this is performed at idle so rather than the system getting a rest between gaming systems this housekeeping can mean that activity and thus temps will rise.

Good news is that this is only temporary - I always leave a new install running for the first 24/48 hours which tend to let the processes complete - (I can have a lot of data on a system 6GB of HDD on this system so YMMV )

Difficult, I think about going back to windows 8.1 which had no such problems.

Have you checked your power management settings to see what the minimum processor speed is set to? If it is set to 100%, you might try lowering it to 25% so it can back off some when not in use.

Start | Control Panel | Power Options | Change plan settings for which ever plan you are set to use.

    yes I have done it
I changed to 90%, so the processor was clocked at 2.4MHZ

When the machine is low use, only on, the temperatures are around 62 what I already high, are about 10 higher compared to Windows 8.1

    This I can not understand.

The because of the increase of about 10 degrees?

Thanks to everyone for the tips .
    The problem was solved.
Comonentes cleaning and application of new thermal paste ( Formula 7).
Then a clean install was done and everything returned to normal.
