Windows 10: Window's 10/Gamepass Ultimate Error Code 0x800706d9

I'm having an issue that appears to be fairly common as far as where it starts. Unfortunately some have the thread closed without a posted solution.Others share similar solutions and some have long complicated suggestions while different levels of success.Always a bunch of maybes ,and the "this worked for me possibilities".I see that if theres a moderator or a customer service person involved its gonna have the usual "uninstall ,reinstall ,reset, turn on/off Firewall" turn off any third party internet security" restart computer "Check Space Available" and something about Shadow Cloud whatever you call it.


My PC portion of gamepass ultimate did work for awhile.I use both Xbox and PC etc.Alot.First thing I noticed is that my windows hello would not allow me to set it up. It asks me for my email then my password and it seems to except it as being correct but then it just disappears as if I had already set it up just as soon as I push the enter button its gone.No noise, no error message, no flashing screen.Then I guess I somehow had managed to keep using the old xbox gamepass pc app so it has me download the install assistant file. When I tried to install the new one it just goes to the Sea of Thieves Picture on install screen and never actually starts filling the progress bar it, it just runs like its preparing to install with the do not turn this off spinner going and even if you leave it all night it doesnt progress at all. So all of the Xbox companion/gamepass apps dont make any progress. And now there's a list of 58 apps and programs that say they need to be updated but as soon as I push enter, without even a second gone by the entire list gives the error code 0x800706d9? My Xbox One X gamepass works just fine with no issues.


So I realize I sure dont make answering a question easy and my amazing run on sentences can turn into a novel of overexplination but has anyone had this issue? this issue to this extent? or know what the fix is for this?

Xbox Gamepass Ultimate Perks

I am a part of a Microsoft family which gives me access to Xbox gamepass ultimate. One of the Xbox gamepass ultimate perks is an ancestral ship set for sea of thieves but someone else in my family already claimed it. Is there any way I can have access
to it as well or do I need to buy gamepass for myself?

Hello I don't know the cause but I've just tried to access one of my email accounts through the mail tile on my windows 10 home screen but found none of my g-mail accounts or my outlook email listed. When I try to add any of my email accounts I get an error
code 0x800706d9. Please can you help me?

I recently re-installed Windows 10 for the anniversary update and was planning to install some of the apps I used to have. The downloads for most apps went through perfectly, but near the end I started to get this error code.
