windows 10 goes into power saver mode when on a zoom call - keyboard or mouse will not wake up from power saver mode -settings are set to never to go into power saver mode

Wake Screen Saver with wireless mouse

I cannot wake my laptop with Windows 10 from the screen saver with my wireless mouse or keyboard.

The mouse / keyboard will wake the computer from a simple sleep setting. But once the screen saver kicks in I must go through a series of pushing the power button to wake the computer.

Screen saver won't close/wake up with keyboard or mouse

An upgraded to Windows 10 pro ran today. Now when it goes to screen saver mode or sleep mode the only way to wake or stop the screen saver is to use Control, Alt, Delete. The computer immediately wakes up followed by the control, alt, delete screen. I
then close the control, alt, delete screen and I am on my home page. What's going on? Why won't the keyboard or mouse bring me back?

Hello,

• No other changes were made to the computer besides the Windows update.
• Screen saver settings are as they were before the update. I can not find anything in the settings that affects the actions of the mouse or keyboard to wake the screen saver.
• There are no pending updates and the update that happened yesterday appears to have completed successfully. All other operations (so far) are functioning normally along with the new Mail application.
• Note, in addition, the same problem (can't stop the screen saver with keyboard or mouse) happens even when previewing the screen saver in Settings.
