  1. Windows 10 GUI not Functioning Properly

I'm currently in the middle of building a new pc and for the moment all I am needing is a GPU. While I'm waiting to get my GPU I have been running an ATI Radeon X1300 (old 256Mb graphics card) since I have a Ryzen 7 3700x which doesn't have integrated graphics. When I try to access the display settings to change resolution and basically anything else relating to the windows 10 GUI like settings, start menu, and notifications. everything starts to bug out. Like most of the UI will randomly go transparent some things just don't even show up visually like when I try to power down or change my resolution. This issue only occurs with the windows 10 UI every other application works perfectly fine. Zero issues with steam, discord, file manager, and any of the games that can run on it. The worst part about the issue is I can't even visually show the issue because trying to screenshot it using windows makes the issue go away until after it unfreezes the screen. I would think its hardware acceleration or my out of date graphics card doesn't have the correct d3d or DirectX version but I wouldn't know how to figure out the exact reason.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

  3. Windows 10 function keys not working properly

    Hi Brianna,

I suggest you to Uninstall and Reinstall the Keyboard Drivers and see if it helps.

Step 1: Uninstall the Keyboard Drivers

    • Press “Windows Logo” + “X” keys on the keyboard.
    • Click on “Device Manager” from that list.
    • Search for the Keyboard from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove
the corrupted drivers from the computer.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.
After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.

Update Driver Software from the Manufacturer’s website:

Step 2: Go to the Computer manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available for the Keyboard and then install it by following the instructions given in the website.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.
