Windows 10: Windows 10 hangs 1-2 hour in between booting

    Windows 10 hangs 1-2 hour in between booting


    Windows 10 in my Acer Aspire gets half booted, hangs 1-2 hours and it takes upto 2.30 hour to complete booting in overall. Is this caused by windows deactivation or virus problem? What this symptom indicate ?

    windows 10 slow boot

    I was having a slow boot issue on my Windows 7 install a little while back. It would take about 30 - 40 extra seconds to boot up for whatever reason.

    I would try following these steps, while this didn't solve my issue, it did increase Read/Write to where it should be.

    In the end, I had to reinstall my Windows 7 entirely to fix the booting issue. It was taking around 35 seconds to boot, and after the fresh install it takes about 7 seconds to boot.

    Windows 10 hangs 1-2 hour in between booting

    Dual Booting 2 x Windows 10 OS Drives (Existing Installs)


    It is uneccessary to do all of the above.
    1. Boot up Windows 10
    2. Open Disk Management and take a note of the drive letter of the other Windows 10
    3. Open Admin Command Prompt and type: bcdboot X:\Windows where X is the drive letter noted in step 2
    4. Reboot, you should have a dual boot menu.
