    Windows 10 HANGS-UP when I run Anti-Virus

I am using SUPERantiSpyware [SUPERantiSpyware.com] version 6.0.128 database version 12149 updated Nov 1, 2015. This is free version and I have been using it for more than two years on Windows 7 too.

Now I have Windows 10. When I run Scan ticking enable Rescue Scan [Maximum Boost], Windows 10 Hangs up giving following error message:

System sending this error message - 100 % completed KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Can you please investigate and advise resolution of this problem which is quite irritating.

    Thanks / Best Regards

    :)

  3. installing the Microsoft V10

Power off the computer and restart. No changes have been made to your computer yet. Use this link to get free help from Microsoft for installation and setup.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contact/menu/software/

Click on the Windows selection. Schedule a callback or proceed with a chat. A Microsoft agent can remote into your computer and fix whatever is holding up the upgrade.

One of the things that hangs up an installatin is an anti-virus program blocking the installer. Be sure to uninstall any anti-virus software you are running in Windows 10. The Windows 10 installer uninstalls AV software anyway.

    Windows 10 HANGS-UP when I run Anti-Virus

Sounds like the software's kernel driver isn't compatible with windows 10 yet.

Contact their support and ask about Windows 10 compatibility.

Until then, my advice: do not use the software.

  5. Hi:

In addition to @Hydranix's excellent advice...

    You wrote:
But the title of your post is "Windows 10 hangs-up when I run anti-virus".
For the record, SAS is NOT an anti-virus and is NOT a substitute for an anti-virus.
It is an anti-malware application designed to run alongside a robust, updated, anti-virus as part of a layered approach to security.
IOW, you still need an anti-virus (either the built-in Windows Defender of Win10, or another, paid or free, 3rd-party software).
This may sound like a "semantic" issue, but it's not. *Smile
Running an anti-malware application alone, without an anti-virus, is generally not recommended.

I hope you get your issue resolved,*Smile
