Windows 10: Windows 10 HDMI output issue

Hey so to put it simply, recently my pc stopped displaying a hdmi signal and it took me a lot of tinkering to figure out what the issue was and even now i still dont know what caused it but it seems to display again. With this said, i reseated all my components and it started to work again. Now i have another big issue, every time i boot up, itll display the login in screen fine, but whenever i proceed to login or press a button to go to the next screen, my HDMI just gives out and my screen goes black and says no hdmi signal detected, however, when i manage to log in, the display comes back an

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

If you’re connecting an optical cable the settings would be changed so try the following steps

Two options:

1. Use the optical S/PDIF output of your motherboard.

2. Use the HDMI output of your GPU. (This is what I'd recommend if you're using a HDMI display).

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

• 
  Go to control panel.
  
• 
  Select sound.
  
• 
  Click on playback devices.
  

For option 1- connect the cable and set the 'Realtek digital output' as default device.

• 
  Then right click on it.
  
• 
  Go to properties.
  
• 
  At the rightmost tab select DTS or Dolby Digital or 5.1.
  

For option 2-connect the HDMI cable through the receiver and set the 'Nvidia HDMI Output' as your default device. Then click 'Configure' and select 5.1 and check if it helps.

If the issue persist then, I suggest you to connect the speakers directly and check in the realtek audio manager if he gets the 5.1 option or not using the SPDIF\output.

I would suggest you to follow the steps and check.

Let’s first check if “HDMI Output” is selected as the default device.

Follow these steps:

• Click Start and select
  Control Panel.
• On the right hand side of the screen, under
  View by: click the drop-down icon and select Large icons.
• Click Sound.
• If you do not have the
  HDMI Output listed under “Playback” tab, right click in the
  playback window and select Show Disabled Device and
  Show Disconnected Device.
• If the HDMI Output option appears, right-click
  HDMI Output and select Default
  Device.

Now the audio must be playing on HDMI

Method 2:

I suggest you to update the HDMI drivers. Refer the below link to check how to update drivers in Windows 10.

If the issue persist, try to update the recent HDMI drivers from the manufacturer’s website and check if the issue is resolved.

ok got to work from hdmi and speaker but can output go from headset and hdmi

1. Are you trying to output Audio via HDMI/headset or to a speaker/headset connect to your HDMI device?
   

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to update the audio driver and set HDMI Device
as default device.
