  1. Windows 10 Headset is recognized as speaker however the microphone isn't.

So I've had this headset for a while works by cable, not bluetooth, it worked perfectly fine. All of a sudden a couple days ago the microphone stopped working and is no longer detected. The headset has a mute switch but it doesn't matter if I turn it on or off it used to work fine.

Is there anything I can do to make my laptop detect my headset again?

    :)

This is what i see in device manager. Im not sure if the Speakers/Headphones (Realtek High Definition Audio) is the one your saying to disable, as that is what is default in playback devices in the sounds panel.

Setting Stereo Mix as the default recording device and disabling everything else still didnt get the mic working, even when the headset is plugged into the microphone only audio port or the mic + sound audio port.

  3. Windows 10 does not recognize headset with microphone

Windows 10 does not recognize headset with microphone. Actually it does not recognize that the headset has a microphone.

The headset is properly integrated but not the microphone on the headset.

Windows 10 recognizes my UE Megaboom as a headset and not a speaker will not work?

Thank you for the reply, unfortunately this did not solve the problem. I followed the steps but no luck.

Device manager still says WonderBoom headset paired it does not recognize it as a speaker as all. Any other suggestions, please.

    Thank you. Rachael
