Windows 10: Windows 10 help Mic not workingg

Hello, my Brand new headset is not working properly, I don't know what the cause of the problem, this is my 12 headset and across 3 windows 10 devicespc and laptop i always run into the problem of my mic cutting in and out...I tried listening to the audio feed back in hardware and sound/Sound and my mic cuts in and out when i speak,when i record my voice voice with windows 10 built in audio recorder it sounds fine,when i speak in game no one responds to me, i check if i selected it as windows default and in game and it selected but doesn't work, when i go back it and test the feed back it c

The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
