No it will not cause viewing problems, most hidden files are Windows System files and are hidden so the general public do not mess with them or accidentally delete them.

  3. Small amount of videos missing from computer after Windows 10 upgrade

    Hi Jamie,

As you re unable to find few of the videos after upgrading to Windows 10, the issue might be caused if the files are hidden. I suggest you to unhide the hidden files by following the steps provided below and check if it helps. To unhide the hidden folders,
    follow the steps below:

    • Open File/Windows Explorer.
    • Click on View.
    • Check the box for Hidden Items.

Also, refer the article below for more information:

Try booting to a command prompt and using the attrib command to set the folders attributes.

Command Prompt at Boot - Open in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums

    ATTRIB [+R | -R] [+A | -A ] [+S | -S] [+H | -H] [+I | -I]
    [drive:][path][filename] [/S [/D] [/L]]

    + Sets an attribute.
    - Clears an attribute.
    R Read-only file attribute.
    A Archive file attribute.
    S System file attribute.
    H Hidden file attribute.
I Not content indexed file attribute.
    X No scrub file attribute.
    V Integrity attribute.
[drive:][path][filename] Specifies a file or files for attrib to process.
/S Processes matching files in the current folder and all subfolders.
    /D Processes folders as well.
/L Work on the attributes of the Symbolic Link versus the target of the Symbolic Link
