Windows 10: Windows 10 High Definition Audio issues.

In the driver manager and the taskbar i cannot see the realtek high definition audio and I tried updating with the latest driver from both the motherboard and from realtek here:

i tried both the installers, and they say it installed correctly but on restart the driver is not does not appear on driver manager and the wizard starts again repeating every restart

when trying to install the driver from device manager install legacy drivers it goes into blue screen every time, same thing when installing the driver in safe mode


motherboard is a b450 ds3h processor is a ryzen 5 3600 and graphics cars is a gygabyte rx 5700 xt

my windows is up to date

IDT High Definition Audio CODEC Not Working

I suggest you to update the driver and check if the issue persist.

Follow the steps to Update the driver and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X key and click
  Device Manager.
• Select IDT High Definition Audio CODEC on Device Manager.
• Select the Driver tab.
• Click on Update Driver.
• Select the option “browse my computer for driver software”.
• Select the option “let me pick up a list of device drivers on my computer”.
• Select the High Definition Audio Device instead of IDT High Definition" And click next.

IDT - Audio Device - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC - Error 0x8007001f

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

1. Select IDT High Definition Audio CODEC on Device Manager.

2. Select Driver tab.

3. Click Update Driver... button.

4. Select -> Browse my computer for driver software.

5. Select -> Let I pick up a list of device drivers on my computer.

6. Select HighDefinition Audio Device (Not IDT High Def... This is important.) And click next.

Appears Warning message, but reply Yes.

7. Windows has successfully update your driver software.

thread that was provided by Rajesh Govind on November 18, 2013. This is for Windows 8.1 and will also work for Windows 10.
