  2. Font looks strange in Windows 10

I have Windows 10 Home 64-bit running on an Acer Aspire 5250 laptop. The font looks strange on some applications.

Below is an example of Creative Cloud.

Going from 32 bit Windows 10 to 64 bit Windows 10

My PC was running Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit before I upgraded to Windows 10. I upgraded to the 32-bit Windows 10 Home Edition under the impression that my CPU had 32-bit architecture. But after looking in the Windows 10 System settings, I realized that
my CPU has a 64-bit architecture.

What I want to do now is to upgrade to Windows 10 Home Edition 64-bit. I tried using the 64-bit media creation tool, but it said that the application could not run on my PC.

Can someone, please give me information as to how I can install the 64-bit version? Thanks.

Perhaps "Smooth edges of Screen Fonts" is unchecked in Visual Properties - Control Panel/System/Advanced/Advanced/Settings.

  5. Edwin, thanks for your reply. But that setting is already checked.

It seems like a monitor setting. Have you checked your resolution and phase (or similar) configuration?

  7. Ghost82, no I don't think so. How do I do that? However, when I try to open Adobe Reader to see what version it is, it says "Adobe Reader can not open in Protected Mode due to a problem with your system configuration. Would you like to open Adobe Reader with Protected Mode disabled?"
