Windows 10: Windows 10 Home Activation: Error code 0xC004F050

I've literally just finished installing my new Motherboard, CPU, RAM and 2 SSDs and wanted to reinstall Windows.

I've been doing this since I've had XP, but hadn't yet done it since the free upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I read that a safe bet is to attach your activation to your Microsoft account and take note of your product key, which is exactly what I did just yesterday. However, upon installation, I realised what I have is "Product ID", as I saw the 5 numbers with hyphens between, and thought that's it. Although, perhaps its just an old version...?

Anyhow, I logged back in to my account under Windows activation, it spewed out the error code in the title and requested troubleshoot. Followed that through, selected my device and then it basically just said no, and corralled me into the infinite loop of crappy customer service.

I don't see anyway of using this "exception path", which I clearly seem to be viable for. This is the first time I've reinstalled Windows, and I just knew it was going to be an issue, way back when they first announced this years ago.

Any advice? I'm not paying £120 for a product that I had yesterday, can no longer use and have every right to now. I did everything it asked of me. Is it worth contacting Microsoft? If so, I have no idea how, as conveniently, there aren't any details and the only phone number is an "incorrect number".

I installed Windows 10 pro x64 build/version 1809 on my machine but have activation issue with error code: 0xC004F050.

we are domain users. when i put my PC to domain did not get license. what is problem?
