Windows 10: Windows 10 Home activation problems

I bought a refurbished laptop recently, which was supposed to come with a legal copy of Windows 10 Home installed on it. It is reporting that "no product key was found on your device. Error code 0xC004F213". This apparently refers to changed hardware, but I have not changed anything. The seller will not send me an activation code - they claim it is built into the bios and the ONLY way this can be fixed is for me to return the laptop to them at my own expense and they will fix it. This is not something that I can do, as I bought the laptop to travel with and am now a long way away from the

How long did you wait for activation?
When I re-installed with a fresh install... it took a few hours to sync and activate.
However, it did, finally, activate.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?

I suggest you to activate the copy of Windows 10 via phone by following the steps below:

• Press “Windows key + R” and type “slui 4” and press Enter.
• Select your Region/Country.
• Select the Phone Activation option, and hold on for a real person.
