Windows 10: Windows 10 Home and IE disconnects

I have encountered several Windows 10 Home installs with IE connection problems and all though I have configured settings from power to services, actually changed hardware, and added or rescinded updates, the problem continues. Reading many forums, I see that this problem has existed for years now. Many moved to a downgrade to solve the problem and since I have not seen this on Windows 10 Pro yet, upgrade may also solve the problem if you bear the cost. The only way thus far I have managed to eliminate the disconnecting is to change browsers to Chrome which would indicate someone is still missing something on Home and IE 11. The insistence on different windows versions is a bit archaic and would like to suggest only two variations. Windows and Commercial Windows with the only difference being the commercial version is stripped down for Business workstations, wide area networks and proprietary OEM use.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
