  1. Windows 10 Home audio issue

    HI,

I have an alienware area 51M running on windows 10 home 2004 version. SInce last few months I have been facing issue with my audio. FIrstly realtek audio console stopped working was showing blank screen and that I reinstalled realtek audio driver to latest version from dell website, still nothing changed. Dell tech support told me that latest windows version had some issue.

Today I am using external DAC audio card Asus Xonar U7 and I see that there is no audio from rear speakers. After some search online, it seems windows audio is only showing stereo speaker configuration, there is no 5.1 or 7.1 configuration at all. Not sure what is wrong here. I remember windows audio showing 5.1 and 7.1 speaker configuration in my older laptop. I have installed realtek audio version 6.0.8928.1 currently.

Would you please let me know how I can resolve this issue? Expecting better experience from windows, else it would be better to stop auto update all together if it breaks a working system.

    Thanks

    :)
