    Windows 10 Home, Certain programs throwing errors because of permissions to main hard drive


    I recently got a Dell Laptop with Windows 10 Home installed and ran into an issue where certain programs will not work correctly because they don't have permissions access even though they are installed on the same drive and the account is an administrator. I can bypass this issue by running as an administrator however doing this every time for each program will be irritating and should not be necessary. I have tried many solutions out there even running the "secret administrator" account but nothing helped. Is there a solution where the main drive will give permissions to programs without needing me to run admin all the time?

    Windows 10 permissions...

    Ok so I feel officially dumb I am trying to copy my steam library to my NAS. Both are on windows 10 pro and both have full control in the file manager. Neither windows nor fast copy will allow me to copy, both list a permissions error? This was never an issue with windows 7...so first off thank you microsoft god forbid I want to back up my data, second off what the heck do I need to do to make this work. All I could fine online was to set full control and that obviously didn't help.

    Also robocopy doesn't apparently work with network locations?

    Free hard drive backup/restore program?

    I am looking for a free (freeware) program that will back up and restore a hard drive. I'm looking to clone a few external hard drives. If the program will backup the used space instead of the whole drive this will be awesome! Thanks for any suggestions.
