Windows 10: Windows 10 Home Creator Version 1903 Freezes When Streaming Amazon Music

Prior to the Creator upgrade my Windows 10 Toshiba laptop was working great with no issues. I was using the Amazon Music application to stream music 24x7 and experienced no lockups or system freezes. Immediately after I installed the Creator upgrade my system started locking up randomly when streaming music. It might run fine for several days or only for a few hours before it locked up to the point that I have to do a power off restart to get the system to respond. There are no errors or notifications when the system freezes.


I've updated all of my drivers, run CHKDSK, Defrag, System Clean Up and attempted many "fixes" that I found searching on the internet but none have resolved the problem.


I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the Amazon client application as well as tried using the Amazon Web version with Chrome, IE and Firefox all of which had the same issue.


Assistance would be greatly appreciated..

Amazon Music App for Windows 10

I use Amazon Music App and would like to make it my default app for music but it isn't offered in the list of music apps. Windows 10 doesn't even recognize that it is downloaded and that I am allready using it on Windows 10. Any ideas on how to get Windows
10 to recognize that the app is downloaded? Thanks, Alice

p.s. you can see in the list below in "Product" that it doesn't even offer Amazon Music as an alternative.

There is a possibility that the Amazon Music app is enabled on startup. To properly troubleshoot this issue, we recommend disabling the app from the startup menu using the steps below:

1. Type system configuration on the search bar, and select it.

2. Go to the Startup tab.

3. Uncheck the Amazon Music from the list.

4. Click OK.

5. Restart your computer, and test the issue,

Did you try all browsers?

If it's happening across all browsers then it could be the Display driver. I gave you a list of everything to try including rolling back, uninstalling and trying a previous version from the older stored Display drivers. You replied that you have the latest
drivers which was only one step out of all of those others. Please go back to Step 3 in my original post and try all steps.

You said you rolled back Version 1903 and the problem remains? Are you at Version 1809 now? Was Facebook streaming working fast in this version previously?
