Discus and support windows 10 Home edition causing my wifi/network to shut off when idle in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; I 've got 2 Laptops - one with windows 10 home & the other windows 10 Pro - the one with windows 10 Home edition causing my wifi/network to shut off...     I 've got 2 Laptops - one with windows 10 home


    & the other windows 10 Pro - the one with windows 10 Home edition causing my wifi/network to shut off when idle.


    I have checked my power settings - there is no option for shutting off - wifi/network - to shut it off when idle.


    the laptop with windows Pro - Never has this problem - and is using the same wifi network - this is why I suspect - that its in the windows 10 Home that is causing this to happen - has anyone here else notice this ??

    The Hotspot is connected via USB. It is a USB device ONLY.

    As you can see, there is no WIFI option in the list.

    I wonder if there is any "service" that nees to be activated for this to work?

    Wifi network not appearing after recent Win 10 monthly patch

    Someone else on another forum suggested I switch the wifi freq on my Android Nexus 5x. So I switched it from 5ghz to 2.4 and it worked! Problem solved. Now my Nexus hotspot is again appearing in my Win 10 list of available wifi networks. So problem was with Android and not Windows.

    It's possible Wifi is Disabled.

    If so, go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings.
