Windows 10: Windows 10 Home is not detecting Headset

So I am having a problem, my computer is not detecting that I plugged in my headset.

So I own a headset called the Runmus 2k. The headset has 1 plug but comes with its own audio and mic splitter. My laptop only has 1 jack which is an audio jack so I use the Runmus's mic usb which you can use for a mic if you do not have 2 jacks. When I plug in both the use and the plug, the audio works fine but the computer does not detect the external microphone.


I have already tried everything that is on this list https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4520288/windows-10-fix-sound-problems#v1h=tab01 and nothing worked. I have read through a lot of pages where people had the same exact question but it either did not have a solution or the solution that was mentioned did not work for me. I have tried using multiple headsets with the same features and none of them worked. I have also tried this headset with another Windows 10 computer and a Windows 7, while it worked on the Windows 7 it did not on the Windows 10.


Note: this is Windows 10 Home so there are some features that are different between Windows 10 and Windows 10 Home so if a solution worked on a computer with Windows 10 it might not work for me.

Good surround sound headset

I know you say you're not that guy, but stepping into the $250+ range really brings a change in build quality that might have you never having to buy another set. Otherwise, getting 6 speakers with decent sound in a headset is hard, and that's what you are asking for, and I have no suggestions, but just a bump up the list. *Stick Out Tongue

 

Headset Mics not detected

• Is the headset detected under Device manager?

Meanwhile, to help resolve your concern, we suggest that you run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. To do this, follow these steps:

• On the Start menu, type Troubleshooting, and then hit
  Enter.
  
• On the left pane, click View all.
  
• Select and run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

USB headset not detected

I have a Koss CS95-USB headset that work flawlessly with windows 7. After upgrading to windows 10 the headset does not work at all. Windows 10 does not even act as if it detects the device being plugged in. No pop-up saying a new device is detected, no
device in the device manager to even look at. I have looked at all the problem post about USB headset and tried all the solution listed but non of them are useful because they all rely on updating or changing the installed driver and since my device doesn't
even get detected no driver is installed to change.

If anybody has a solution or if someone can give me a USB headset model that definitely works with windows 10 that would be very helpful.
