Windows 10: Windows 10 Home Lock Screen controls grayed out

My lock screen controls are grayed out, and there is a banner at the top saying "Some of these settings are hidden or locked by your organization".Since I'm on Windows 10 Home, I do not have the Group Policy Editor. I searched it up on the Internet but it's all for Windows 10 Pro.Windows 10 Home Version 21H2 OS Build 19044.2364

Windows 10 Lock Screen controls grayed out

My lock screen controls are grayed out, and there is a banner at the top saying "Some of these settings are hidden or locked by your organization".

As per the instructions at https://techdows.com/2015/09/fix-wi...ettings-are-managed-by-your-organization.html, I used the Group Policy Editor (I needed to open it as Administrator) and navigated to:

Computer Configuration

> Administrative Templates

> Control Panel

> Personalization

I'm supposed to set `Do not display the lock screen` to `Enabled`, but it is already set that way.

**Why else would the Lock Screen control be grayed out?**

Please note that I have no problem with the Lock Screen. I was simply following the advice at 7 ways Windows 10 pushes ads at you, and how to stop them | PCWorld to remove ads from my new Windows 10 Pro laptop.

I had solved my 2D & gray screen issue using advice posted by erocker (see below)
Mainly it involves creating a profile and putting higher 2D clocks:

 

No Lock screen in Windows 10.

• When you say that "rolling slideshow ", what exactly are you referring to?
• When you say that "I can't activate it again.", are you referring that you are not able to Activate Windows 10?
• What are the troubleshooting steps which you have performed to resolve the issue?

I suggest you to follow the steps below to set the lock screen pictures.

1. Right click on Desktop screen.

2. Then click on Personalize.

3. Click on Lock Screen.

4. Try to select the lock screen picture.
