    Windows 10 Home Network Connectivity

    Hi,

I run 2 P.C.'s and 1 Laptop on my home network. Since a couple of Win 10 upgrades ago my Home Sharing has stopped working. I've tried to access allowable files in the Documents Folder on my other machines, but my Network Folder, in the left hand Folder List Pane in my Windows File Explorer, no longer shows sub-folders for each device in my home network. The devices are shown in the read pane, on the right, as listed under 'Network'. When I try to access any device to retrieve Documents, it defaults to the Music Folder.

How do I now access Documents in the Documents folder in another machine in my Home Network? Home Sharing worked really well, why change it? How do I work around this problem? Is there a special setting I have to change?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

  3. Losing network connection

Hello Dear, if you have a laptop or a PC with a wireless network adapter, you can see a list of available wireless networks and then connect to one of those networks. The wireless networks will only appear if your PC has a wireless network adapter installed, the adapter is turned on, and the wireless access point is in range.

    1. Click Start, click Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections, and then click Network Connections.

    2. In the left pane, under Network Tasks, click View available wireless networks.
In case, If you don't see the network you want to connect to, click Refresh network list. If you see the network but the signal is weak, move the PC closer to the wireless router.

    3. Click the network you want to connect to, and then click Connect.

    4. If you're connecting to a secure network, type the security key, and then click OK.

I Hope you solve out your query soon.

Windows 10 Ethernet connection randomly disconnects

I suggest checking out the event log in Windows. It's likely going to tell you why (to some degree,) why the network connection was lost. I haven't had this issue with wired connections but, with wireless it has almost always come down to drivers or a strange software bug which boiled down to how the driver operates.
