    Hi,


    I have a fleet of Windows devices which we use to educate. When I am in training I run my own network over 4G. I have noticed that there are some changes to the update process when we get the next update. These may cause my laptops to update over the 4G network which is not what I want to happen due to restricted data entitlement.


    I used to be able to set the network as restricted which stopped the update on this network and when I am on my home network I download the update and manually update each laptop. This saves me a lot of time and effort. Is this process still available in Windows 10 home edition? If not then I need to get another way of updating without using my 4G network.


    Any ideas?

    I have 4G connection in one of my Computers and that is the only connection it will ever use. Is there a way to force Windows Update to download and install updates automatically? I have set the connection as not-metered but still I always need to press the "Download" button in Windows Update for it to start doing the update. Thanks.

    The picture Solaris17 posted says Windows will not download updates on a "metered connection." That certainly includes 3G/4G.
