Windows 10: Windows 10 Hotspot "Turn on remotely" from another PC.

I am trying to figure out how to remotely enable the Windows 10 hotspot feature from another windows PC (running Windows 10 Pro). I would really like to use this feature, but so far remote enabling it seems impossible.

• Both devices are running Windows 10

• Both computers are connected via bluetooth.

• My hotspot works when manually turned on from computer with internet connection.


• A possible work around is to be able to permanently leave hotspot on between reboots, different sources of ethernet, and losses of connection. I share this computer with the rest of my family, and don't want to interrupt what they're doing to reset the hotspot. We don't have a traditional connection, so we use our phones via PDAnet (ethernet tether over USB connection), which is why I have to deal with multiple sources of ethernet.

How to turn on hotspot on PC from WM10 remotly

I've been trying to turn on hotspot remotely on my PC (Thinkpad T540p) from my phone Lumia 950. Devices are paired via bluetooth and there is no problem to turn on hotspot manually and connect. What's more there is no problem to turn on hotspot on my phone
from PC remotely and connect but when I try to do that from phone on PC I can't see the entry on the list of available networks.

On both devices I checked "turn on remotely" option. And want to share the internet from my LTE built in modem in the thinkpad.

 

How to turn on hotspot on PC from WM10 remotly

Using the same function ie. turning on remotely I'm able to turn on my hotspot in a phone from PC. My phone hotspot is just present on wi-fi list on pc even when it's turned off. So I suppose you should find you pc hotspot on phone in wi-fi list.
