Windows 10: Windows 10 How do I reset my local account password when already logged in?

I am logged in to my local account on my Windows 10 computer. I have forgotten my current password, none of the 20+ ones I've tried work. I need to change my password, but when I go to Settings -> Sign-in options -> Password -> Change, it prompts me for my current password and I cannot get past this dialog. There is no "forgot password" link, only Next and Cancel buttons.How can I reset my password to something I'm going to remember without reinstalling Windows and losing everything?

Thanks for this information. I reset the lap top but I still don't have an option to set up a new password.

The windows screen still has my name showing.
