    Windows 10 Hypervisor Server Keeps Crashing - No Troubleshooting Seems to Fix


    Windows 10 Pro Version - OS Build 19042.789

    I have a Windows 10 machine that I use solely as my Docker & Plex server which is kept switched on 24/7. It is a headless server which is why I never get to see what happens but when I connect a HDMI cable to see the screen after it has crashed, there is no screen response on all HDMI ports. I have been suffering with this issue for the last year intermittently. Here is my current situation and what I have done to troubleshoot to no avail. Also, my hardware list is as follows:

    Specifications

    • Corsair CX450
    • GigaByte GA-AB350M
    • 4*8GB Crucial DDR4 RAM
    • AMD Ryzen 1700X
    • Radeon RX470
    • SANDISK 240GB SSD
    • ARCTIC Freezer CPU Cooler
    • 2 * be quiet 120mm Case Fans

    Troubleshooting

    • Installed Windows Server 2016 to see if it is an OS issue - still crashes. Reinstalled Windows 10 after no fix.
    • Bought a new GPU (Radeon RX 470) to replace my GeForce GT710
    • Increased PageFile to min 10GB and max 20GB
    • Ran Windows Memory Diagnostic tool with no errors
    • Installed and reinstalled display drivers
    • Allowed memory dumps for a BSOD but no dumps have been recorded as I have to hard shutdown when my machine crashes
    • Monitored temperatures, CPU, memory and GPU usage with HPWINFO64 (nothing out of the ordinary)
    • No events in Event Viewer prior to crash

    Things to note

    • Every now and then, the GPU fans spin to max and then go quiet a second later
    • Turned off Windows Defender
    • Turned off auto updates

    I am at my wits end with my server and have bought a new PSU as I have read a few articles online suggesting this. I would love & really appreciate for someone to give me some ideas on what to do or even suggest me a direction to troubleshoot shy of buying a new machine!!
