Windows 10: Windows 10 icon text mumbled and background color changed

I was starting up Black Desert Online and after 2 minutes in the game it crashed to desktop.

moments later the screen flashed as if updating settings.. afterwards it looked like this:





ive tried "sfc /scannow" to check for any errors and it showed none. I also scanned with Malwarebytes and Avira(currently still scanning) and so far no malware/virus detected

I would appreciate any insight into why this happened or how i would fix it without reinstalling windows

Text color same as background color

So, I was messing around with the windows 10 display color settings, and I maaaay have accidentally changed the text color and highlight color to the same color as the background? I can't read any of the text, how to I restore the color back to default??
(I'm using my iPad to post this btw)

 

Can icons be set to change contrast automatically as the local background color changes

The attention to screen contrast in Windows 10 is a wonderful improvement, but a background image typically has bright and dark regions. On a bright background region, in just one part of the screen, the text for standard icons is invisible. Shouldn't it
be automatically detecting the local background color and adjusting the icon so that both the text and the icon are always visible? You don't want to change the settings for all icons, just have it match the local background. Is it possible to set it to do
that, and if not, when will it be available?
