    Windows 10 Icons Missing and File Explorer broken


    My desktop show only the labels with no icons. Start menu and Taskbar icons is fine. The file explorer is also broken. But it only happens on my first account

    What i just do is installed Winaero tweakers to try aero lite, but i don't like it and disabling aero lite and deleted the app. I also used startup sound changer to change the startup sound then deleted the app in my second account.


    Pls help me, also sorry with my bad english.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Windows 10 Icons Missing and File Explorer broken

    Cannot find Desktop Icon in File Explorer


    Now that is interesting. If I do what you suggest, File Explorer Address bar changes to C:\Users\username\documents and the missing ICONS are there. But there is still not a "Desktop" folder.

    Is this a step in the right direction?
