    Windows 10 - IIS - manage.iis.net - how to keep hackers out?

Recently I went by chance to the website of https://manage.iis.net

To my big surprise this thing was able to access my local IIS.

Isn't it a security risk if a local IIS can be administrated by a remote website?

How do I know if not only manage.iis.net works with my local IIS but also some other guys?

I like the idea that one PC can administrate another PC (in the same network) but not that internet based machines can do that.

    :)

  2. ASP.NET 4.0 is not configured in IIS.

Hello. I'm facing a very serious problem with IIS. I have Windows 10 X64 and IIS 6.0. In Turn Windows Features on or off I did all the stuff regarding IIS. But when creating project in Visual Studio 2012 targeting .net framework 4.0 it throws error that
ASP.NET 4.0 has not been configured in IIS, you have to manually configure. I used the CLI in Administrator mode and installed the aspnet_regiis.exe for .NET Framework 4.0 for both 64 bit and 32 bit manually. In IIS Application pools list .NET 4.0 is not available,
so I tried to configure Application pool manually, but it's not listing .net framework versions, rather it's showing .NET CLR versions. Still choosing any version didn't work. Please help me. It's same for framework 4.5 also.

PHP Manager for IIS on Windows 10

    Hi Everyone!

I just upgraded to Windows 10. When I upgraded I just wanted to setup a small PHP website. I enabled IIS, CGI and all stuff needed for getting PHP working.

PHP is working fine, however, I was trying to install PHP manager on Windows 10 but I am not having success.

I found that some people had issues because .NET 3.5 was not installed.

I verified if .NET 3.5 was installed, I even reinstalled using the dism command line. I am even able to compile .NET 3.5 applications in Visual Studio, but I still can't install PHP Manager.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for the help.
