Windows 10: Windows 10 Image Backup Issues

Hi everyone.

I have been trying to use the Windows10 backup system, selecting the System Image method, and the process starts fine. But, it is extremely slow in getting the job done (I am sending backup to a 1Tb WD drive), and then when it gets to the end of the process many hours later it tells me there was not enough space on the backup drive, so the backup failed.

First I would like to say, how can a backup system by Microsoft, in this age of advanced IT technology, not be able to check if the destination drive has sufficient storage space first and warn the user that this is the case? Not very clever.

Next, can anyone suggest why the process may be so slow, and is there a way of predicting the backup size before trying to start the process, or should I consider 3rd party backup software? Not keen on this one because I have tried a few previously and they are all too complicated and end up giving unpredictable results as well.
By the way, the computer being backed up is a few years old, not the most modern processor, and only 4 Gb RAM. Not sure what speed the target hard drive runs at.

[HELP]Image recovery issues

Guys i am trying to fix my cousins Asus Eee netbook. It has a backup image file that is partitioned on the hard drive but when I go to use it the app will run through a few steps and stop. It is running Vista . Any suggestions?

no, you can't go back..
I suggest creating a backup image of your os drive

its already there. there is a hard set factory image from samsung. problem is it takes a long time to get that backup into the drive again and destroys the C drive data.
