Windows 10: Windows 10 image printing error

Hi,

I have an interesting error with printing images. Until now everything was fine,

but now when I want to print photos from windows in explorer right click and print the printer prints only the right and left size of the photos.

I have an Epson L805 printer


I did some tests:

- doesn't matter the size of the paper A4, A5 etc.

- can print without any error from photoshop, adobe reader, epson's own photo printer app

so the problem is in windows

- the file type doesn't matter, same error with jpg, png


- however the file size is interesting:

the full size photo - same error,

long edge 4000 pixels - same error,

long edge 2000 pixels - prints more on the sides but still not the whole image,

long edge 1000 pixels - prints the photo without error


so from this I think when a photo has a smaller size of several hundred kilobytes its ok, but larger files are problem.


Any advice or does anybody has/had this problem?

Error: "Print Queue is full" on Windows 10

Hi Rob,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community and being part of Windows 10.

I understand that you are unable to access the printer under desktop after upgrading to Windows 10 with error: Print queue is full, we will help you with this issue.

Try the below troubleshooting steps on desktop device and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to check the status of
Print Spooler service and check.

Print Spooler service, spools print service and handles interactions with the printer.
If you turn off this service you won’t be able to print or see your printer.

Steps:

• Press Windows + R to open Run command, type
  Services.msc and press Enter.
• Search for Printer Spooler service, right click on it and
  Start the service.
• Also, set the Startup type to Automatic.
• Now check if you are able to install the driver.

Step 2: I suggest you to run Printer troubleshooter and check if it helps.

• Press Windows + X, click on Control Panel, select
  Category and then select Large or Small icons.
• Click on Troubleshooting and click on
  View all in the left pane.
• Select Printer and follow on-screen instructions.

Windows 10 Home Won't Print to Remote Printer


I have three computers.
Machine 1: Windows 10 pro, has the USB Brother HL-5040 printer
Machine 2: Windows 10 pro, prints OK to the remote printer.
Machine 3: Windows 10 home, Used to print, but not anymore (THIS IS THE PROBLEM).
I’ve tried everything that I can think of, and would appreciate any suggestions.
I did these steps on Machine 3 that did not work.

1. Remove the printer device.
2. Add a Printer
3. The printer that I want isn’t listed
4. Select a shared printer by name
5. Browse
6. Select the displayed Machine 1.
7. Select the displayed Printer.
8. Next
9. Failure “Connect to Printer”.
10. Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or Hostname
11. Next
12. Set Hostname to Machine 2, and set port name.
13. Detecting TCP/IP Port
14. Additional Port information required.
15. Device Type – Standard, Brother Port Server
16. Next
17. Detecting the Driver Model
18. Install The Print Driver
19. Select Brother and Brother HL-5040
20. Next
21. Replace the Current Driver
22. Printer Name (setting it to HL-5040)
23. Next
24. Do not share this printer
25. Next
26. You’ve successfully added “HL-5040”
27. Finish

Printing on Machine 3 puts the document in the print queue, which reports error printing.
Printing from Machine 2 to the printer on Machine 1 works perfectly.
All three machines are in the same HomeGroup. Machine 3 can access the shared files from Machine 1.

 

Unable to print images error: the codec may not be supported.

There are instances where certain file types may not be compatible with the printer.
However, to get a better clarity on the issue, I would require some information.

• What is the file format that you are trying to print?
• What is the make and model of the printer?
  
• Are you able to print any other images or documents?
  
• Are you trying to print the files directly from the website or do you have the files saved on the computer?
