Windows 10: Windows 10 in Japanese : search in task bar not usable, and windows menu slow to appear

I switched my Surface Pro 7 to Japanese, since then 3 problems occured, one that I solved. It was in French before switching.


1 Office applications PowerPoint, Word were switched to some arabic language. Solved by installing japanese language pack.

2 Search in task bar, right next to Windows logo, is not usable anymore. When I click it nothing happens. Also when I hit the Windows key, I can't type anything.

3 When I try to open Windows menu either by clicking the Windows logo, or by hitting the Windows key there is some latency before the menu actually appears.


Any hint for the two last points would be much appreciated.

Note : when the Surface is in French, everything runs perfectly well.

Windows 10 Defender - How to make it default to task bar?

Using Windows 10 and currently I am using Defender for anti virus. For whatever reason Windows Defender does not show up in the task bar unless I search for the program or right click and scan a file/folder. Is there a way to force Defender to show up in the task bar at start up?

• First of all from Start Menu, open Settings (Type settings in the search bar and it will appear).
• locate and select “Update and Security“.
• in this window, Locate “Advanced Options”. Click on it.
• In Advanced Options; Click on “Choose How Updates are Delivered“.
• Turn off Updates from more than one place.

Your system will not work as a seeder for other Windows 10 users. It will give sudden boast to your Slow internet speed.

 

Search icon does not appear on the task bar

I have a laptop and a recently I bought a desktop Pc running windows 10 home edition. The search icon (next to the windows symbol) does not appear on the task bar on the Pc. It does show on the laptop however. Why is it that? I click on the task bar
with the right button of the mouse and a list appears containing the “search” link on the laptop but that does not appear on the Pc. Also the “cascade windows”, “Show windows stacked” and “show windows side by side” appear grey that is inactive. Both laptop
and Pc run windows 10 Home edition. Could it be something wrong with the installation? I bought the Pc (a Dell inspiron) recently and today I installed the software. But why is it that the search icon does not show on the task bar and actually it is missing
from the list that appears when I click on the task bar with the right button of the mouse? Any help would be welcome.
