    Windows 10 incapatibility with Nvidias Geforce 2080 Ti


    Hi


    I have a frustrating issue with my computer or rather windows 10.


    I like many have forked out for a new 2080 ti graphics card from NVidia and my windows 10 installation cannot see it, all it can see is my onboard graphics which it installs straight away.


    I have tried everything from rolling back bios versions to installing new ones re-seating the card, trying a different slot, trying older drivers, different power supplies, checking bios settings, switching off oboard gfx, none has worked.


    I know the card works, one reason being that my video output from my onboard gfx chip is being fed through it right this minute. I have tried reinstalling windows 7, and windows 7 can see the card install the drivers and play games no issue, therefore I know this issue lies with windows 10.

    But what is the point in running a top end card in windows 7 when it doesn't support Direct X 12? exactly my issue.


    anyone got any fixies for this? is Microsoft going to realease a update to fix this? the October update as far as I am aware hasn't gone down very well either.
