Windows 10: Windows 10 incorrect username in C:\Users\xxx signing in with MS account

How do i fix this?Windows 10 incorrect username in C:\Users\xxx signing in with MS accountIt is driving me mad and i cant seem to fix it.This only happens when i used my MS account to log into the computer. I know can just use a local account but don't want to.I did do some research but no body seems to win

We understand the frustration when things don't go the way it is supposed to. Let me assist you further.

Now, if the above recommendations did not help, I suggest you to
create another user profile with the name you intend to and then migrate all the user settings from the old one to the new one. This might help us ascertain if any particular user account is affected.

Follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1:

Create another Local user account using the below steps.

(Use the name you want to while creating this user account)

1. In the search box on the taskbar, type
settings and select Settings.

2. Select
Accounts > Other user accounts.

3. Under
Manage other accounts, select Add an account.

4. At the bottom of the page, select
Sign in without a Microsoft account.

5. Select
Local account.

6. Enter a name for the new account. If you want this person to sign in with a password, enter and verify the password, add a password hint, and then select
Next.

7. Select
Finish.

Step 2:

You can use the following steps to copy old files to newly created User Profile.

1. Go to
C:\Users\(Your-Old-Profile-Name)\

2. Copy all files except three files :

NtUser.dat

NtUser.ini

NtUser.log

3. Go to
C:\Users\(New-User-Profile-name)\

4. Paste all those copied files here.

I would suggest you to enable the Built in Administrator Account and then make appropriate changes to the folder name of the user account you intend to. To do so, follow the below steps.

• Press the Windows key + R from the keyboard to open the Run Command Dialog Box
• Enter cmd and right-click on the Command Prompt result that should appear.
  
• This opens a list of options at the bottom. Select Run as administrator there.
  
• Accept the UAC prompt
• Enter the following command to enable the hidden administrator account:
  net user administrator /active:yes
• Now login to the Built in Administrator account which you have enabled.
• Open Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Users, open the Users folder, right click on the user profile folder (ex: Old Name) that you want to change the name of, and click on Rename.
