Windows 10: Windows 10 infinite black loading screen with mouse

Hello, I have a Dell laptop that was working perfectly fine until it reached 0 percent, I took out the battery and put the battery back in, then when I got home I plugged it in, held the power button until the keyboard lit up. And then it did the normal dell loading thing, and now it's a black screen with the 6 dots spinning round and round... I have tried unplugging everything, taking out the battery and I tried pressing f8 on the Dell loafing screen but it didn't do anything... any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What you are experiencing is either a stop error (also called a "blue screen" error), an infinite loading screen (dots circling) or a black screen with visible cursor.

I have also tried the reboot until it asks about safe mode and advanced options, rebooted 5 times... same thing everytime

Welcome to the forum!

Try letting the battery charge for about 30 minutes. Shutdown the machine first, though.

After you let it charge for at least the above period of time, try turning it on, and post back on what happens.

 

Ok I got my laptop to say "choose an option" and theres continue (gives me the same black screen) use a device (i dont have any other windows copies) and trouble shoot... I have very important files on here that i really dont want to lose... (Solidworks $$$) Which should I click?

Presuming you are at the Advanced Startup Options Menu.

The Troubleshoot menu is where all of the repair and recovery features found in Advanced Startup Options are located and is what you want to select.

Troubleshoot gives the choices of Reset your PC or Advanced Options.

Reset this PC allows you to keep or remove your files, and then reinstalls Windows. However, it removes all installed software and apps and resets all Windows settings, but nothing personal will be removed, like documents, music, etc.

Go on to Advanced Options, and select: Startup Repair
It is supposed to fix problems that keep Windows from loading.

 

OK so I made a disk with the windows boot thing on it, it was working fine but then I shut it down and now it's doing the same thing! It's stuck at the black loading screen, I put the disk back n and it doesn't work now! Please help!

So, if I understand you correctly, it worked fine after you did a Startup Repair? However, when you were done and shut it down, you lost it again? Is that correct?

Is SolidWorks a 3D CAD Design Software that you can download again, or have CD disk for?

Did you check the Boot options to make sure it is still set to boot from a CD/DVD?
When the Dell logo appears, press the <F12> key (I think) to load the Boot Menu. If not <F12> look closely at the options presented right when the Dell logo appears and select whichever key applies.

When the Boot Menu appears, highlight the CD/DVD drive entry from the list, and press: Enter
Make sure you Save the changes.

If that gets you in, do another Startup Repair, and, if you get the computer to work as before, copy/backup your files to external media (External Hard Drive, USB Flash stick, SD Card).

If, when you shut it down again, if you are stuck at the loading screen again, you may have to do a Reset to reinstall Windows 10. This removes apps and drivers you installed and changes you made to settings, but lets you choose to keep or remove your personal files. However, if your files are important, I would back them up beforehand.

If you have access to another computer, you can download Kyhi's bootable rescue media and create a CD or flash drive with which to boot the system. This will allow you to open File Manager and at least copy all your important data off the drive for safe keeping.
