Windows 10: Windows 10 install - unable to pass Network page

Hey,



I have a problem with installing windows 10 on a Lenovo IdeaPad C340.


The laptop is going to a friend so I tried to use the Reset feature but this kept failing saying that no changes were made.


Microsoft recommended downloading and using the media creation tool and resetting via USB.


I have done this and get to the set up welcome page. I can pass this and also select the region and keyboard settings, but the bit I cannot pass is the Network page... it says I must connect to continue.


So I connect to wifi and click next and it sits a a message saying 'Checking your connection to Microsoft. The will take a while'. After a few minutes it briefly shows a message 'Something happended, lets get you reconnected' and takes me back to the Network page.


There are no options to skip this step and I ha e tried 3 different wifi connections including a wired connection. All with the same result.


I have also redownloaded the media tool and tried reinstalling atleast 7 times... all with the same result.


I have also tried to do a reset from the the start up recovery screen using the cloud download option and local option all with the same result.


I ha e even tried going in via the system prep ctrl + shift + f3 from there I connect to wifi I have downloaded all the latest updates for windows and drivers then entered OOBE again but still the same result.


I have also tried disabling the network adaptors in system prep to see if the OOBE would skip the Network step but it didn't.


Any suggestions on how I can overcome this?


No matter what I have tried I am stuck in a loop at this Network page, with no option to skip or select that I do not have internet.


Any ideas?


I should also say I was on the phone to Microsoft for 4 hours yesterday being passed around and the best advise they had was turn it off and back on again and then to reinstall... all things I have tried and all end up with the same result... they kept telling me I was being passed to level 2 support but never did. Just got passed to another desk and had to do all the same steps again

Unable to access HP Simple Pass to Sign-in to the computer on Windows 10

• Have you installed HP simple pass software on your computer?

Try the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to download the latest HP Simple Pass software from the manufacturer's website install it and check if it helps.

Step 2: If you have already installed the software, I suggest you to re-install it and check if the issue persists.

Follow the steps to Access Recovery Manager:

• Press Start button from the keyboard, type Recover Manager.
• Select Recovery Manager from the list when it becomes available. Allow the action to continue, if prompted. The
  HP Recovery Manager opens.
• Click Software program re-installation, Next , select
  HP SimplePass for the listing and then follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall application

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
