    I wanted to upgrade my hard drive to something bigger, so I replaced the drive with a new one. I downloaded the Windows 10 install media and did a fresh install of Win 10 Pro. All went well until I went to install the NVidia driver 342.00 for the Quadro NVS 450 video card I am using. The driver install crashes about half way through and throws a "Page Fault in non-Paged Area" in module nvlddmkm.sys which is part of the Nvidia driver package. Luckily I still have my old installation with exactly the same hardware using the same Nvidia driver and it works fine. 342.00 is the latest WHQL dr

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    New install Windows 10 (issue solved)

    If downloading a 3,5 GB file isn’t a problem then try Windows 10 Media Creation Tool, it’ll download Windows 10 image and setup installation files on USB stick.

    Can't install Latest Nvidia Driver

    I didn't mention that nVidia's driver search offers 456.71 for the GT730, as you post. I checked that first.

    I also checked the supported devices list.

    I recognize the inconsistency. That's why I qualified my post. I can't recall a specific example, but I'm fairly sure that the nVidia servers have offered drivers in the past that were no longer supported on old cards. I have no direct knowledge whether that may be true here.

    I'm unsure as to what drivers Windows Update provides for newer cards. I imagine they're newer than 388.13. That strongly suggests that the GT730 is not supported by recent drivers.

    I suggest that "bug67" try the older drivers. If those work, that would suggest that there is no hardware issue.

    If "bug67" wants the latest drivers, but the GT730 isn't supported, it may be possible to modify the installer to accept it. (Need a hobby?)
