Windows 10: Windows 10 install

Hi all.

I haven't used Windows since WinXP. Vista forced me to move over to Linux.

Recently I tried to get the new xbox, but have since given up and decided to build a gaming PC instead.

I've found Windows 10 to be almost unusable - usb drives not recognised until rebooting several times, rebooting not working (sits there saying "restarting" for hours until it eventually crashes), passwords not being remembers despite having "remember password" clicked, having to wait for 5-6 minutes after a reboot before I can open anything, the audio device randomly changing etc...

I've started to download Windows professional in order to reinstall, but before I do, are these behaviours normal?

I mean, should I expect these things as part and parcel of using Windows, and not bother wasting a day or two reinstalling?

I realise that this sounds like trolling, but I promise that it's not, I just haven't used Windows in this arena for some time, so don't know if this is now the norm.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?
