Windows 10: Windows 10 installation disc is not loading after formating of hard drive and system...

I have a problem.


My Windows 10 got stucked and I had to reboot the PC. Suddenly Windows did not load at all.


I followed the routine in this instance, which I have done half a dozent times before, and inserted my Windows 10 installation disk to format drives and to reinstall it. I could however not access the installation menu, only the repair menu. I used therefore the dos cmd option and formated manually the hard drive and system reserved partition.


Suddenly the Windows 10 disk is stucked in blue screen loading, showing movable mouse arrow but no menu loading.


I have never had this problem before.


I would be thankful for support and suggestions.

Replacing old hard drive, need way to copy Windows installation across

Hey Guys,
What would be the best way of copying/imaging the entire contents of an old system drive over to a replacement hard disk for the same machine? I need to copy the Windows installations and all other data to the new drive, and then format the old drive to use as a backup.

Any suggestions? *Smile

 

How to format hard drive and still keep windows 10?

You need to read your Windows 10 key which was given to you when you upgraded to Win10. I think there are tools. Look for them. Then you have to download a clean untouched Windows 10 ISO image, format the drive and install it clean.

There is a second option, under Recovery menu in Windows 10 that installs the system clean, but I don't think it's as clean as doing it with ISO...

 

Formatting a dual boot system with windows 10 and ubuntu

In Windows 10, you can easily format a hard drive or a partition by accessing Computer Management. For us to assist you, we suggest that you follow the steps listed below:

• Press the Start button.
• Type Computer Management.
• On the left side, click on Disk Management under Storage.
• Locate the drive that you want to format.
• Once located, right-click on the drive and choose Format.

If the hard drive has not been formatted with the steps that we have provided above, we recommend that you contact the manufacturer of your hard drive. Some hard drive requires a software that you'll need to use just to format it.
