Windows 10: Windows 10 installation failed, now my windows 7ultimate is pirated?

A Windows 7 computer with an illegally used key that was activated before the key was blocked by Microsoft will remain activated until some event occurs which causes that computer to seek reactivation (such as change of motherboard).

Apparently the attempted upgrade caused the computer to seek reactivation which then resulted in failure due to the key being blocked sometime after initial activation.

Also some pirated versions used hacked activation servers and when those servers get taken down the computer will not reactivate Windows if something triggers a reactivation request.

 

Win7 Ultimate is the MOST pirated version of Win7, and depending on how the hacking was done, could very well appear to be a legit version and fully activated. But that activation is temporary and, once it expires, you'll get the notice that it's not valid.

MS has a program for consumers that if you were lead to believe you purchased a legit version and it later turns out to be a pirated version, they will send you a legit version for free. You should Google for this and see if MS will do that for you.

 

Activate using the telephone

• Open Windows Activation by clicking the Start button , right-clicking Computer, clicking Properties, and then clicking Activate Windows now. ...
• Click Show me other ways to activate.
• Type your Windows 7 product key, and then click Next.
• Click Use the automated phone system.

 

Doesn't work if the system thinks it's an invalid key , I tried all that as well when I was having issues , the identification servers on the automated phone system just say 'unable to confirm activation code' after going through using the phone pad to enter the 16 digit code on the screen and then you get passed to support...who's only response right now is... 're-install your old OS' then re-install the free upgrade to windows 10.
