Windows 10: Windows 10 "Installation Failed"

Hi. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium on an ASUS Laptop with an Intel i5, 2.53 Ghz and 8Gig of Ram. A few years ago I successfully ran the upgrade to Windows 10 . I then foolishly backed out to 7 via a boot menu option as I was experiencing some issues. Turns out that the issues were related to another piece of software that I have since removed. Now I would like to once again install Windows 10. I am attempting to perform the installation via the Windows Download website. The new software downloads successfully and the installation starts to run. There are no licencing issues or questions, so I assume that's fine. Then it stops and I simply get a message box that states "Installation Failed". No other explanation, log file or error code. Are you able to please help me understand why? Does the installation fail perhaps because it was already previously installed? Please help. Thanks. Ralph

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
